I am currently attending the State University of New York, studying undergraduate adolescent math education. I have also been student teaching at Seaford Middle and High school. I have had a lot of experience tutoring different branches of mathematics, including algebra and calculus. In addition to tutoring, I also volunteer after school to help sixth-grade students with math. I have earned A's in all of my own mathematics classes and my love for math drives me to want to help others enjoy it. This is why I truly believe that I am a great asset to have on your child's academic team. My tutoring methods include using a one-on-one approach. I learn my student's strengths and develop a lesson plan to help them with their weak areas. I strongly believe in helping a person understand the material, not memorize it. Tutoring fulfills me because I get to help children understand their potential and see the happiness they get from their success. One of my favorite feelings is knowing that I helped a pupil find the answer to a difficult problem, which makes them proud of themselves. I hope to help as many students as possible achieve high marks in mathematics.
