I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and American Literature from Hofstra University. I received my Masters in Literacy from Queens College.
Experience
I have been a teacher for 13 years in grades K through 5. I am a part of the Inquiry team at school which looks into educational practices and evaluates their effectiveness. Tutoring would be a great way for me to put into practice what I have learned throughout my career. I enjoy working 1:1 and in small groups so that I can teach to the child's needs.

Hobbies
I enjoy spending time gardening and playing with my children outside. I am always looking for ways to teach them necessary early childhood skills through nature. Visiting museums and the NY Botanical Gardens is another great way to spend time off. I also enjoy reading and am currently learning how to upcycle furniture from yard sales.
